Moriyama & Teshima Architects is an award-winning Canadian architecture firm based in Toronto, Ontario. Carol Phillips is a Principal with the firm, and Project Architect for some of their most valued projects. Carol joined Moriyama & Teshima Architects in 2005 and immediately distinguished herself; she was named Associate in 2006. Carol’s first completed project at M&T won six design awards and was published in five countries. In 2014, Carol was named a Fellow of the RAIC (Royal Architectural Institute of Canada).


PARTISANS is a young Toronto architecture and design firm held together by a collection of individuals with the drive to make our world a better place.

Pooya Baktash studied architecture at the University of Azad in Tehran, Iran, where he also worked at renowned architecture firm EBA, recipient of the Aga Khan Award. In 2007, he came to Canada to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture. Pooya has a record of achievement on major civic projects. He co-founded PARTISANS in 2012.
